Videos Baton Rouge: Girls on the Run

Since 2009, the non-profit organization Girls on the Run has been encouraging preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. The program also combines training for a 5k running event, which will be held in May 2011. In Baton Rouge, the program began with only two schools. Currently, the there are 14 schools in the Greater Baton Rouge area and 250+ girls involved. This past Wednesday, we were invited over to Buchanan Elementary to hang out with a few cool Girls on the Run.
